Virginia native

BLACKSBURG - Arnette Vipperman, 71, of 518 Tribal Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Born in Raven, Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Pearl McGlothlin Horton. She was a member of New Harvest Church of God and attended Carolina Praise and Worship Center.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Robert Vipperman Jr. of Dunlap, Tenn., Thomas E. (Ed) Vipperman and Darrell Vipperman, both of Blacksburg; three daughters, Lori Setzer of Blacksburg, Karen Cline of Liberty Center, Ohio, and Jodi Horton of Boiling Springs; a brother, Donald C. Horton of Raven, Va.; two sisters, Loraine Balis of Raven, Va., and Pearl Horton of Swanton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday,

Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Carolina

Praise and Worship Center in Grover, N.C., with the Revs. Robert Wells and Ron Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family is at the home of Ed Vipperman, 273 Lancaster Drive, Blacksburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to New Harvest Church of God, Building Fund, 120 Boiling Springs Hwy., Gaffney, S.C. 29341; Carolina Praise and Worship Center, P.O. Box 75, Grover, N.C.; 28072; or Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
