Food and fun highlight Brookview's fall festival

Brookview Healthcare Center will host its second annual fall festival Saturday, Oct. 25, from 4-7 p.m.

Sponsored by Brookview's employee advisory committee, the event will feature free games, tattoos, prizes, a giant slide and a special Kids Craft Zone that was a big hit at last year's festival. Twenty-five to 30 Limestone College student volunteers will help with the games and craft zone.

Live music will be presented by Bernie and the Major 7's. Band members are Bernie Swayngim, rhythm guitar and vocals; Jeff Gates, lead guitar and vocals; Randy Humphries, bass; and Robbie Queen, drums.

Cotton candy and popcorn will be sold for a very reasonable price. Pizza, hot dog and hamburger plates can be purchased for $3.50. Plates include a beverage. Pumpkin pie will be offered for $1 per generous slice.

"We invite the entire community to come enjoy a fun, free, family-friendly afternoon," said Mary Klein. For more information, contact her at 864-489- 3101, ext. 53; or email bom.asst. brga.sc@palmetto.com.

Brookview is located at 510 Thompson St.
