Rocky McIntosh Rocky McIntosh Rocky has 5 tackles in Redskins' win

Former Gaffney star linebacker Rocky McIntosh had five tackles and three assists in Washington's 14-11 victory over Cleveland Sunday.

Washington improves to 5-2 this season.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former Gaffney High star Sidney Rice had no catches against Chicago on Sunday. The Bears topped the Vikings, 48-41.

Limestone wins first swim meet

Limestone defeated Pfeiffer to win its first meet of the season in men's and women's swimming action on Saturday.

The men won by a score of 109.5-60.5 and the women won by a score of 114-48 for a combined total of 253.5 -108.5.

Donna Wickman and Craig Jordens each took first in the 50 freestyle with times of 26.18 and 21.28, respectively.

Marta Stepien had a strong meet for the women in the 400 individual medley with a first place time of 4:37.38, while Chad McKenzie recorded a time of 4:12.91 for first on the men's side.

Sidney Rice Sidney Rice Linvern Lim turned in a strong time in the 100 backstroke at 52.70, with Wickham earning a time of 1:00.7.

Carmen Adams and Gilles Gutnecht both took first in the 500 freestyle.

Adams was timed at 5:34.60 and Gutnecht turned in a time of 4:52.51.

Pfeiffer's first place finishes were in men's 1000 freestyle, with Zach McMicheal recording a time of 10:17.27, and in the 400 freestyle relay for the men and the women with times of 3:36.26 and 4:32.13, respectively.
