Michael McCurry named worship leader at West End

Michael McCurry Michael McCurry has joined the ministry staff at West End Baptist Church as Worship Leader. His responsibilities will include leading and working with the praise team, praise band and adult choir. He will oversee all things pertaining to worship and music.

A gifted musician, he began playing instruments at age five and has been involved with music his entire life. He plays most any wind instrument and is gifted in teaching others to play as well. He has already begun a teaching program in addition to his other duties.

He majored in music at both Appalachian State and Gardner-Webb universities and received a B.A. in Communications from USC-Spartanburg. He has served as a director of instrumental music and band director as well as on-air radio personality.

McCurry is a graduate of Blacksburg High School.
