Shady Grove to host Pure 'n Heart children's choir workshop, concert

Shady Grove Baptist Church is hosting and inviting individuals and youth directors to bring their children or youth choirs (approximately ages 5 to 13) to participate in the Pure 'N Heart Workshop and Concert.

The Pure 'n Heart Workshop will be Saturday Nov. 8, from 10:30-1:30 p.m. There will be food, fun, fellowship, games and prizes. The participants will enjoy singing, rapping, dancing and scripture. There is no charge for participation.

The Pure ''n Heart concert will follow on Sunday, Nov, 8, at 5:08 p.m. All Pure 'n Heart concerts

begin at 5:08 based on the scripture Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God."

Choir concert attire is solid color T-shirts and jeans.

The director of the Pure 'n Heart ministry is Alphaeus Anderson of Spartanburg and music minister at Mt. Sinai World Outreach Ministry in Spartanburg. He is a graduate of Anderson College with a degree in religious music.

Children from other Pure 'n Heart choir clusters will be attending from South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The 125-voice choir and ministry were organized five years ago. The group will be singing songs from Pure 'n Heart's latest CD/DVD.
