Corine Brown Tarver, 92, of 113-A Cooper St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Hartwell, Ga., she was the widow of Andrew Tarver and daughter of the late George W. Brown and Jessie Fowler Brown. She was retired from Eckerd and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Carlton Colley and wife, Pat, of Winter Park, Fla., and Sherman Colley and wife, Zell, of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Polly Heidi and husband, Simon, of Sleepy Hollow, Ill.; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verna Tracy of Bowling Green, Ky.

Memorial services will be held Monday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Peeler officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
