Travis Kent Hames

RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. - Travis Kent Hames, 25, of 156 River Ridge Parkway, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008.

Tr a v i s was a pilot and active in many areas of aviation.

He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Kent Hames; grandfather, George Beason; grandmother, Nona Wiedeman; and grandfather, Alan Hames.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Joni Beason of Gastonia; grandmother, Sylvia Wilkins of Rutherfordton; step-grandfather, Jeff Wilkins of Rutherfordton; sisters, Sloan Hames and Christy Blanton of Cliffside; great-grandmother, Sue Price of Rutherfordton; and step grandfather, George Wiedeman of Gaffney.

A celebration of Travis' life will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship, where he was an active member.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Crowe's Funeral Home in Rutherfordton.
