Ernest Burr, Jr.
      Ernest Burr, Jr., 56, of 254 Cherokee Ridge Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was the husband of Betty Marcella Suttles Burr and son of Alice Crisp Sprinkle of Asheville, N.C., and the late Ernest Burr Sr. He was a truck driver and member of Christian Fellowship Church in Chesnee.

      BLACKSBURG - Hattie Kearse Blackwell, 85, of 109 Tiffany Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Spartanburg Restorative Care. Born in Barnwell, she was the widow of Webster Blackwell and daughter of the late Jim Kearse and Pearlie Mason Kearse. She was retired from the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Gene Wyatt and daughter of the late Floyd Gaffney Jr. and Barbara Patrick Allison. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

      Faye Elizabeth Johnson Williams, 74, of Brookview Nursing Home, 510 Thompson St., passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at 8:45 a.m. Brookview. She was formerly married to the late Virgil Williams. Service will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Golden and Dolly Elmore officiating.

      LITTLE RIVER - Jimmy W. Gordon, 57, of 4633 Light Keepers Way, Unit 5B, formerly of Marion and Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born in Gaffney, Mr. Gordon was the son of the late Floyd Gordon Sr. and Lillian Queen Gordon of Gaffney. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

      SHELBY - Services for Peggy Sue Wilson, 42, will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Earl with the Revs. Simon A. McClain, Patsy Martin, Roosevelt Kelly, Roger Fuller and Minister Dorothy Woods officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends at 2:30 p.m.
