Disney's Beauty and the Beast is set for 9 shows at Limestone
      Limestone College, in association with the Cherokee County Arts Council and the Gaffney Little Theatre, will present nine performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The musical will begin its two weekend run on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium. Other evening performances are set for Nov. 14-15, Nov. 20-21 and 22.

Director of Pure 'n Heart Ministry will lead workshop concert at Shady Grove Church
      Alphaeus Anderson of Spartanburg, director of the Pure 'n Heart Ministry, will lead a workshop and concert at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Gaffney for youths ages five to 13. The workshop will be Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and the concert will be Sunday, Nov. 9, at 5:08 p.m.

Painting celebrates 4-H's 100 birthday

      Renowned artist Jim Harrison has partnered with South Carolina 4-H to produce a painting marking the organization's 100-year anniversary. The 12x16 prints, "4-H Barn," are for sale for $60 from the South Carolina 4-H office at 864- 656-3848. They are also available from 4-H agents and at Clemson extension offices through November.

      Dana Michelle Glenn and Jerry Lamar Leach, both of Spartanburg, were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Fred L.
