Paula Phillips

AIKEN - Paula Potter Phillips, 42, of 229 East Pine Log Road, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Scott Phillips and daughter of Edward Potter and Brenda Mabry Potter. She was an office manager with Hospice Care of South Carolina, a 1984 graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Spoken Word Tabernacle in Beach Island, S.C.

Also surviving are two sons, Derek Steven Phillips of Columbia and Jordan Gregory Phillips of the home; a brother, Keith Potter and wife, Donna, of Ellenboro, N.C.; and a sister, Tina Jones and husband, Rick, of Chesnee.

Services were held Sunday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Ulteig and Terry Johnson officiating. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, S.C. 29342; or to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.

The family is at the home of Edward and Brenda Potter, 2803 Riverfront Drive, Mooresboro, N.C.
