Harold Lawter Jr.

PACOLET - Harold Gene Lawter, Jr., 43, of 220 Glenn Springs Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008.

Born in Gwinnett County, Ga., he was the son of Rose Nell Lee Inman of Pacolet and the late Harold Gene Lawter Sr. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Limestone College. Mr. Lawter was formerly employed by Perry Correctional Institute and was a member of Lockhart United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Marie Lindsey and husband, Jerry, of Pacolet and Angie McDougald of Cowpens; three brothers, Bobby Inman and wife, Julie, of Cowpens, David Inman and wife, Paulette, of Blacksburg and the Rev. Bryon Inman and wife, Angie, of Cowpens; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and close friends; and a special friend, Mandy Upchurch Grigg.

In addition to his father, Mr. Lawter was preceded in death by his step-father, Bobby Inman Sr.

Services will be held Monday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Bryon Inman and Lynn Ford officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Marie Lindsey, 110 Michael Gage Court, Pacolet.
