Lillian Joyce Mills Howlett, 77, of 1424 Wilkinsville Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in London, England, she was the wife of John Frederick Howlett and daughter of the late Joseph Mills and Lillian Mills. She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dean Howlett of Gaffney; three daughters, Susan Spencer and husband, Don, of Gaffney, Denise White of Waynesville, N.C., and Tracey Moore and husband, Rick, of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, David Little, Renee Little, Kelly Little, Jennifer Spencer, Katie Spencer, Kevin Moore, Darren White, Tammy White and Jonathan Howlett; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howlett was preceded in death by a son, John David Howlett, and three sisters. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 30, from 1-2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Terry Pleasant officiating.
