Barbara Sue Curry Bell, 61, of 147 Deerwood Lane, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Mrs. Bell was born March 9, 1947, in Spartanburg and was the daughter of Agnes Parris Curry of Spartanburg and the late John Robert Curry Sr. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she was a 1969 graduate of Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gaffney and a retired member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Roy Dean Bell; a son, Roy Kenneth Bell of Petersburg, Va.; a granddaughter, Kiara Michelle Bell of Gaffney; and a brother, John Robert Curry Jr. of Spartanburg.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Bell was predeceased by a brother, William Alan Curry.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Terry E. Pleasant.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
