Received degree in plumbing

Christopher Lamar Dawkins, 24, of 503 5th St., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at 12:28 a.m. at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Spartanburg.

Son of Vicky Eugenia Dawkins of Gaffney, and godson of Danny Littlejohn, Luther Eugene Dawkins Jr. and Michael Lee Davidson, all of Gaffney, he was born Feb. 26, 1984, in Gaffney. He was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church and after receiving his GED, did further study and received a degree in plumbing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Townsend Dawkins, Joseph Davidson, Mary Ann Davidson, Connies Tate and Justine Tate.

In addition to his mother and godfathers, he is survived by two sons, Amaurey Chrishaun Dawkins and Chisyion McKienzie Dawkins, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Breanna Morrow of Gaffney; eight sisters, Chanda Dawkins, Courtney Dawkins, LaQuanda Dukes, amanda Dawkins, Rekel Dawkins, Alexis Dawkins, Cassie Dawkins and Franchisa Dawkins, all of Gaffney; four brothers, Jimmel Dawkins, Cody Dawkins, Ricky B. Tate and Joseph (J.T.) Dawkins, all of Gaffney; grandparents, Luther Dawkins, Frances Dawkins, both of Gaffney; great-grandmother, Estella Dawkins of Gaffney; and a host of other relatives.

Services will be held Monday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Golden officiating. Interment will be in Limestone Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

The family is at the home of Vicky E. Dawkins, 409 E. Junior High Road.
