Gaffney Middle running back Shaquille Davidson finds some open space against Granard on Wednesday. Gaffney Middle running back Shaquille Davidson finds some open space against Granard on Wednesday. Perfection.

That described the Granard Warriors' season after capping off an undefeated season with a 20-16 victory over Gaffney Middle in the Little Six Conference championship game on Wednesday.

Jaylen Miller, who was moved from fullback to tailback earlier in the season, was the offensive star for the Warriors with 220 rushing yards.

Miller scored twice to put the Warriors up 14-0 before the Chiefs got on the board with a 40-yard scoring toss from Bryce Spurlin to Thomas Hardy.

Miller scored on a 62-yard run to extend Granard's lead to 20-8 in the third quarter. Spurlin and Hardy connected again on a touchdown for the game's final margin.

Coby McDowell and Dominique Dover had interceptions for Granard, which finishes with a 7-0 mark.

"Offensively, we scored and I'm real proud of our defense," Granard coach Roger Patterson said.
