Retired from Timken

SPARTANBURG - Faye Gentry Sentell, 81, of Summit Hills, formerly of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Summit Hills.

Born in Pacolet, she was the widow of J. W. Sentell and the daughter of the late Charlie Gentry and Myrtle Valentine Gentry. Mrs. Sentell was retired from The Timken Company and was a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Scott Gentry and wife, Nettie, of Pacolet and Walter Gentry of Temple, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Sizemore and Gladys Hyatt, and a brother, Conley Gentry.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Mike Frazier. The family will meet with friends at the graveside after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 502 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29341; or to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29307.

Family members are at their respective homes.
