      Blacksburg senior quarterback Josh Elmore and wide receiver Chris Hames went trick or treating into the end zone on Halloween in a scary good performance by the offense in a 49-24 win over Southside Christian. Hames caught an 81-yard halfback option pass for a touchdown from Elmore on the first offensive play of the night.

      Former Gaffney star linebacker Rocky McIntosh and his Washington Redskins can be seen on Monday Night Football against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former Gaffney High star Sidney Rice had an 8-yard touchdown catch in the Vikings' 28-21 win over Houston.

Blacksburg draws top seed in playoffs

      Blacksburg plays Calhoun County Friday in the first round of the Class A playoffs. Blacksburg (2-8) will travel to play an undefeated Calhoun County team Friday at 7:30 p.m. in St. Matthews, S.C. The two teams were paired in the Class A Division I in a playoff schedule set over the weekend by the S.C. High School League.
