Clarence (Buddy) Campbell

Clarence Oliver (Buddy) Campbell, 88, of Peachtree Centre, formerly of 305 Vadar Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Clarence Julian Campbell and Edith Broom Campbell.

He was the former

manager of One

Hour Martinizing and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell was a World War II Army veteran and was retired from the Army National Guard.

He is survived by a son, Charles Campbell and wife, Patti, of Gaffney; adaughter, Jo Carol Painter of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Chad Campbell, Clay Campbell, Jeff Vinesett, Jamie Vinesett, Kandy Belue and Jimmy Painter; and two sisters, Edna Howard and Kate Ellen Spencer, both of Gaffney.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Vinesett; a brother, Paul Campbell; and a sister, Ruthie Lee.

Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 2, from 1-1:45 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services immediately followed at 2 p.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Phillips officiating.

The family will be at the home of Charles and Patti Campbell, 163 Hillcrest Drive, Gaffney, SC.
