A man can't even shave in peace

An 83-year-old man shaving in his Rogers Street home discovered two men trying to steal his guns when he went to investigate a noise.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, the two unknown men entered the home through a screen door and were attempting to steal a wooden gun case containing eight long guns when they were discovered.

The homeowner told police he was shaving when he heard a commotion and, upon investigating the noise, saw two men drop his gun case and flee from the residence.

The burglars, described as two white males wearing stockings over their faces, fled from the home in a two-tone green Dodge pickup.

They were last seen hearing toward U.S. 29, according to the police report.

Following the incident, Det. Sgt. Mike Segina was called to the scene to process evidence.

No arrests had been reported as of Tuesday.
