Sidney Rice Sidney Rice Vikings' Rice becomes TD maker

For the second straight week, former Gaffney star Sidney Rice had only one catch but it was good for a TD. Rice caught a firstquarter, 3-yard TD pass from Gus Ferotte to put the Vikings up 7-0 over Green Bay. Minnesota went on to win the game, 28- 27, to improve to 5-4.

Former Gaffney High star Rocky McIntosh and his Washington Rdeskins had a bye this week.

Limestone upsets Pfeiffer

Following a pre-match ceremony for the senior class, Limestone upset top ranked Pfeiffer in Conference Carolina Saturday. The Lady Saints battled to a two set lead, before winning in four sets (25-20, 25-16, 16-25, 25-22) and securing the second seed in the conference tournament.

Limestone completes its regular season with a record of 18-12 overall and 15-5 in the conference. Pfeiffer, which had already secured the number one seed, suffered only its second conference loss of the season, falling to 26-5 (18-2).

Rocky McIntosh Rocky McIntosh Seniors Samantha Flannery, Lynn Milam and Candace Robertson were honored before the match and went on to lead the Lady Saints to a victory.

Flannery contributed 7 kills and 4 blocks, while Milam tallied 4 kills, 3 blocks and 8 assists and Robertson had 4 kills. The Lady Saints rallied behind their seniors, with junior Melissa Thomas having a team high 21 kills.

Freshman Nina Milovanovic chipped in 13 kills and 11 digs, while junior Brooke England and junior Chelsea Anthony added 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Freshman Danielle Seibert ran the offense efficiently, recording 42 assists and 10 digs for a doubledouble.

"I'm really excited with the energy and determination our team showed today," Limestone coach Tim Loesch. "They really wanted to win and it showed in their play. I'm happy for our seniors; today will be a lasting memory for them. I hope we can make some more good memories for them in the conference tournament."

Limestone swimmers top Lenoir-Rhyne

Limestone hosted Lenoir-Rhyne in women's swimming, defeating the Bears by a score of 117-77.

The Lady Saints won 10 of 11 events, narrowly missing a sweep. The meet marks the first women's only event of the season and brings Limestone's overall record to 3-1.

Limestone was able to jump out in front, placing first and third in the 200 Medley Relay. Marija Grubic, Carmen Adams, Jessi Sullivan and Donna-Marie Wickham took first with a time of 1:57.16, while Lenoir Rhyne's team of Jessy Barriger, Lindsay Atkin, Megan Neubauer and Kathryn Turner finished in 2:02.60 for second place.

Limestone's team of Jenna Arington, Madalyn Bernard, Ines Speranda and Shelley Hutcheson kept it interesting, but ultimately finished in third with a time of 2:03.63.

The Lady Saints took first and second in four events, helping to their commanding victory. Arington and Renee Pouchet finished with times of 2:02.90 and 2:04.66, respectively, in the 200 Freestyle.

In the 50 Freestyle, Wickham recorded a time of 26.31, with Grubic pushing her all the way turning in a time of 26.38. Isabel Nystrom finished first in the 200 Butterfly, followed closely by Speranda.
