Boggs' historic home will be open for holiday tours

Members of the Gaffney Garden Club met recently at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Boggs to finalize plans for the club's 2008 Holiday Home Tour.

The home and garden of Dr. and Mrs. Boggs, located at 504 S. Johnson St. in the Historic Residential District of Gaffney, will be open for tours on Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14.

The home is currently featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of At Home in the Upstate. The magazine's front cover features sculptures obtained by Dr. and Mrs. Boggs during their world travels. The couple have given much attention to the outside of their home by planting and maintaining circular and square gardens that are enjoyed during all seasons.

"This is a beautiful home with lovely gardens and we are very appreciative to Dr. and Mrs. Boggs for allowing us to present it to the public as our 208 Holiday Home," said Marshall Goforth, Gaffney Garden Club president.
