Let the library show you how to use a computer, surf the Web The Cherokee County Public Library is accepting registrations for its November/ December public computer classes. The one-session classes will be at the main library, 300 Rutledge Ave., from 10 a.m. until noon. The free classes are designed for adults 18 and up. "Computer Basics," an introductory class for those who have little or no computer experience, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19. "Introduction to the Internet," a basic introductory class on Internet navigation and on-line resources, will be on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and requires participants to have experience using a computer and mouse. "Introduction to E-mail", a basic class on how to set up an e-mail account will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, and also requires experience using a computer and mouse. Class size is limited and those interested must register in advance, either at the library or by calling 864 487-2711. Registration is first-come, first-served and will be closed when the classes are filled. |
