Local schools will observe American Education Week on November 16-22.

County schools will hold open houses in connection with this year's theme "Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility." Visitors can visit schools on the following days between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Monday - Grassy Pond Elementary, Granard Middle, Northwest Elementary and Luther Vaughan Elementary

Tuesday - Mary Bramlett Elementary, B.D. Lee Elementary, Alma Elementary and Cherokee Technology Center

Wednesday - Gaffney High, Limestone-Central Elementary, Goucher Elementary

Thursday - Corinth Elementary, Draytonville Elementary, Ewing Middle, Gaffney Middle and Cherokee County Learning Center

Friday - Blacksburg Elementary, Blacksburg High, Blacksburg Middle and Blacksburg Primary.
