Acelia Ann Littlejohn

Acelia Ann Littlejohn, 51, of 303 Ozell Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at 7:05 a.m. at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born June 15, 1957, in Gaffney, she was the daughter of Ida Mae Littlejohn of Gaffney and the late Gainville Tate. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was an usher, youth directress, bus driver and member of the constitution committee, adult choir, kitchen committee, Pastor's Aid and Mother's Board. She was a member of the Thickety Mountain Baptist Association Choir.

Ms. Littlejohn was preceded in death by a brother, James Littlejohn, and four grandparents, Millie Littlejohn, Ben C. Littlejohn, nannie Tate and Jamie Tate.

Surviving are a son, Danny Ray Littlejohn of Gaffney; five brothers, Johnny Littlejohn, Robert Corry, Thomas Tate, Billy Tate and Rodney Tate, all of Gaffney; eight sisters, Minnie Ruth Petty, Darlene Phillips, Sarah Littlejohn, Annie Littlejohn, Jackie Littlejohn, Mary Haney, Nannie Tate and Audrey Tate, all of Gaffney; two grandchildren; a nephew who was reared as a son, David Petty; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, other nephews and relatives.

The family is at the home. Arrangements by Foster Funeral Home.
