Former Gaffney star named all-conference

      Tusculum linebacker Jarvis Littlejohn received second team defensive honors on this year's All-South Atlantic Conference team. Littlejohn, a former Gaffney standout who starred on the 2003 state champion team, is one of 15 seniors that will lead Tusculum into Saturday's first round playoff game against Albany State.

Blacksburg Middle repeats as conference champions
STAFF REPORTS
      The Blacksburg Middle School football players were the ones celebrating - again - after the championship game. Nick Hames scored three touchdowns in the first half as Blacksburg Middle beat Mabry 26-8 Thursday to capture its second consecutive conference championship.

Limestone to host NCAA Division II soccer tournament game today
STAFF REPORTS
      The Limestone Saints will host Lander University in the opening round of the NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament today at 1 p.m. at Saints Field. This marks Limestone's second appearance in the tournament. The Saints were a "Sweet Sixteen" team in 2006.
