Former Gaffney star named all-conference

Tusculum linebacker Jarvis Littlejohn received second team defensive honors on this year's All-South Atlantic Conference team.

Littlejohn, a former Gaffney standout who starred on the 2003 state champion team, is one of 15 seniors that will lead Tusculum into Saturday's first round playoff game against Albany State. This is the straight year he has been named to the All-SAC second team.

Tusculum captured a share of the conference title for the first time since 2003.

After posting just 17 stops in his first two seasons, Littlejohn led the team with 85 tackles in 2007. He was the team's second-leading tackler with 89 tackles this year.

He had seven tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.

During his career, Littlejohn has accounted for 185 tackles, 17 for loss, three sacks and six forced fumbles.

He recorded a 17-tackle performance against Mars Hill in 2007, earning him SAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, while also being recognized as the D2football.com National Defensive Player of the Week.
