Field (back) kept up with local news by reading The Ledger while attending a reunion of the crewmen of the USS LST-1061 recently in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Anthony C. Elder. Anthony is the grandson of Hilda Galloway, also of Gaffney. He has been recruited to play the bass guitar for the United States Marine Corps Band.
