LEDGER READERS ON THE ROAD
Wayne R. Smith, Marvin Jennings (front), Glenn V. Hoffner, Roy R. Bradley and William L. Field (back) kept up with local news by reading The Ledger while attending a reunion of the crewmen of the USS LST-1061 recently in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. On your next trip out of town, take a copy of The Ledger along and send a picture of yourself or your group reading the newspaper to: cody@gaffneyledger.com. On the way home from a recent cruise to the Bahamas, Chris and Dana Weaver of Blacksburg stopped in Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Daytona 500 Experience. They are shown here with The Gaffney Ledger in front of the Dale Earnhardt statue. The Elder Family of Gaffney — parents Mark and Alison and brother Steven — read The Gaffney Ledger at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot in San Diego, Cal., while attending the boot camp graduation of Pvt. Anthony C. Elder. Anthony is the grandson of Hilda Galloway, also of Gaffney. He has been recruited to play the bass guitar for the United States Marine Corps Band. Pictured here at the Tennessee vs. Florida college football game in Knoxville, Tenn., are (front row) Alyssa Pennington; (back row) Heather Bostic, Hollie Pennington, Heidi Bostic and Todd Pennington. |
