Peachtree Centre residents keep busy with recent activities
Peachtree had its annual Halloween trick-or-treat with three local day cares and 60 children visiting the residents. Pictured in their Halloween costumes are Millie Skinner and Polly Ellis (lr) with trick-or-treater Marissa Martin. Members of the men's club at Peachtree met recently to discuss one of their favorite subjects - football! The staff and residents talked about their favorite teams and enjoyed a special football cake and sodas. Pictured are Jack Clary, Ken Alverson (therapy), Jimmy Green, Jessica Spencer (activities) and Marvin Bishop. Youths from Mt. Sinai Baptist Church visited with Peachtree residents and sang to them. Anyone who is interested in bringing groups in to sing for Christmas is asked to contact Linda Spencer, 487-2717, ext. 103, to reserve a space on the December calendar. Eula Gilliland was winner of the first "Peachtree Idol" contest and holds her pass to Hollywood. Both residents and staff participated in the contest and residents are now asking when the next contest will be. Approximately 25 Peachtree residents enjoyed a Ladies' Harvest Tea. One of the attendees had such a good time that she exclaimed, "We are looking forward to the next tea. That was fun!"
