Teacher's aide for B. D. Lee Elementary School for 27 years

Annie Mae Pruitt Guyton, 87, of Magnolias of Gaffney, formerly of 207 Mimosa Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Henry J. Guyton and daughter of the late Bud Pruitt and Sabrina (Beanie) Whiteside Pruitt. She was a retired LPN and teacher's aid for B. D. Lee Elementary School for 27 years. She was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet Poole and husband, Doug, of Gaffney and Linda Sarratt and husband, Jim, of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Samantha Adair and husband, Will, and Stuart Sarratt.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Guyton was preceded in death by a grandson, David Poole; three brothers, Lenoir Pruitt, Claude Pruitt and Troy Pruitt; and two sisters, Jeanette Henderson and Beatrice Pennington.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 14, from 12-1 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Hill officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Salem Presbyterian Church, 1907 Hickory Grove Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
