KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Millicent "Millie" Jane Upton Waters, 70, of 303 S. Battleground Ave., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Kings Mountain Hospital.

Mrs. Waters was the widow of Clyde Alfred Waters and daughter of the late Lloyd Berkley and the late Ethel Blanche Sandige Upton of Hico, W.Va. A graphic designer for many years, she held a B.A. degree in Geology and was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Norris of the home and Donna McGinnis of Fort Mill; 11 grandchildren, Timothy, Sarah, Rachel, Leah, Ariel Josiah and Jonathan McGinnis, Tiffany Cox, Christina, Bethany, and Rebekah Wilkins and Hannah Norris; one soon to be born great-grandchild, Ava Cox; and her mother-in-law, Frances Yeargin Waters of Gaffney.

Services will be private

Family members are at their respective homes.
