Mr. and Mrs. Childers celebrate 50th

Bill and Joyce Childers Bill and Joyce Childers of Gaffney celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 1, 2008.

Mr. and Mrs. Childers were married at First Baptist Church of Gaffney in 1958. Their children are Scott and Anita Childers of Simpsonville, Tim and Donna Childers, Hal and Michelle Childers and Lisa C. and the Rev. Richard Lancaster, all of Gaffney. They have 13 children - Matt Childers, 28; Katie Lancaster, 16; Lauren Childers, 15; Kaylin Childers, 14; Adam Childers, 12; Luke Lancaster, 12; Josh Childers, 12; Hannah Lancaster, 10; Rachel Childers, 10; Bradley Childers, 8; Grace Childers, 6; Emmie Sue Lancaster, 5; and Noah Childers, 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Childers were honored by their children and grandchildren with an anniversary party on Oct. 26 in the Family Life Center
