Katie Patterson will compete for Miss S.C. Teen title

Katie Patterson Katie Ann Patterson of Gaffney will join the state's brightest young women in the quest for the Miss South Carolina Teen USA crown Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov. 22, at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

Miss Patterson is a junior at Gaffney High School and daughter of Craig and Lisa Patterson.

Miss South Carolina Teen USA contestants will compete in three equal categories - interview, evening gown and swimsuit.

Should Miss Patterson be selected as the new Miss South Carolina Teen USA, she will represent the state in the Miss Teen USA Pageant. Among her prizes ould be a furtrimmed coat, an exclusive 14k gold crown ring, a glamorous wardrobe for national competition and the opportunity to interview with top commercial talent agencies.

Tickets may be obtained through Ticketmaster and the North Charleston Performing Arts Center's advance ticket office. Tickets for Friday's 8 p.m. preliminaries and Saturday's 7:30 p.m. finals may also be available at the door.
