Cleveland Littlejohn
Cleveland Littlejohn, 78, of 480 Pepper Mill Lane, Norfolk, Va., widower of Lucy Posey Littlejohn, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at his home.
A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late King Littlejohn and the late Paul Littlejohn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James William Littlejohn, John Henry Littlejohn and Albert Lee Littlejohn.
He joined Gowdeysville Baptist Church in Gaffney at an early age, and after moving to Norfolk, joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He graduated from Granard High School and received a B.S. in business from Norfolk State College. He was employed by Union Brick Construction Co. in Virginia Beach, Va., for 50 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 54 years are two daughters, Nellie Faye Jones of Norfolk and Shirley Jefferies of Gaffney; three sons, Dock Ross of Columbus, Ohio, Wayne Mann and Montrel McInnis, both of Norfolk; a sister, Lillie Mae Harris of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at noon at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Norfolk, with Minister Brandon Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 6-9 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory.
