Dr. Thompson entertains at club meeting
David Thompson (left) presented a program of holiday music on the piano at the November meeting of the Tuesday Woman's Club. Others in the photo are (l-r) Mrs. David Thompson, Mrs. Gene Cooper and Mrs. Eddie Oliver. The Tuesday Woman's Club met Oct. 14 at the home of Mrs. Richard Baines. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Chuck Lowry and Mrs. Wayne Whiteside. At the start of the meeting, the hostesses served refreshments and members enjoyed a time of fellowship.
Mrs. James Moss, president, conducted a short business session. Members then participated in a cookbook exchange game created by Mrs. Lowry. Members were invited to share special memories about the cookbook they chose to exchange.
The parlor of Limestone Presbyterian Church was the setting for the Nov. 11 meeting of the club. Hostesses were Mrs. David Thompson, Mrs. Eddie Oliver and Mrs. Gene Cooper. Refreshments were served while members enjoyed a performance of holiday music by David Thompson. Thompson played a variety of piano selections
to commemorate both Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Club president, Mrs. James Moss, conducted a brief business session. Mrs. Boone Peeler and Dr. Gena Poovey were welcomed as new members.
