COWPENS - Charles Lawson Owens, 50, of 6365 Cannons Campground Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Pamela Owens and son of Betty Carolyn Owens and the late Charles Howard Owens. He was employed by Freightliner and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Marvin Brian Owens and wife, Brooke, and Ernie James Owens and wife, Chrissy, all of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Noah Charles James Owens, Katlyn Michelle Owens and MacKenzie Gwen Owens; a brother, James Andrew Owens of Gaffney; a sister, Teresa Therell of Gaffney; and grandparents, Andrew Walker and Audry Harrison, both of Gaffney.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry Duvall officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
