Jay Harvey Jr.

Leo Jackson (Jay) Harvey Jr., 82, of 2643 Chesnee Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Brookview Healthcare.

Born in Spartanburg County, he was the husband of Montez Greene Harvey and the son of the late Leo

Jackson Harvey Sr.

and Alsie Morrow

Harvey. He was the former owner/operator of Harvey's Drive-In, a graduate of Furman University, a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jay Harvey and wife, Kathy, of Gaffney; two daughters, Susan Hulsey and husband, Jeff, of Seneca and Cindy Greene and husband, Johnny, of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Matt Hulsey, Jennifer Harvey, Christopher Hulsey, Amy Harvey, Kellen Greene, Elizabeth Harvey and Emily Greene.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Harvey.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joel Sellers and Sidney Norton officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.

The family will be at the residence.
