CPAs discuss how women can start a new business at meeting of BPW Club
      The Gaffney Business and Professional Women's Club met Monday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at House of Pizza. Debra L. Kesler, Ruth P. Queen and Alison W. Masters discussed "How Women Can Start New Businesses." The three certified public accountants opened their own business - Kesler, Queen & Masters, CPAs, Inc., this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Bright wed 62 years
      Mr. and Mrs. Hobert Detroy Bright of Gaffney will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary on Nov. 30, 2008. Mr. Bright and the former Margie Worthy were married in Gaffney in 1946.

Movie based on the book 'Polar Express' will be shown Dec. 2 at library's 'Family Movie Night'
      The Cherokee County Public Library will host "Family Movie Night" on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4- 6 p.m. All ages are welcome and snacks will be served. Susan Sarratt, children's librarian, invites everyone to attend and says that the movie that will be shown is based on the book "Polar Express.
