Norman Destaffino

Norman Bruce Destaffino, 66, of 206 Lakeshore Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at his home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Doris Duncan Destaffino and son of the late John Destaffino and Aliene

Poole Destaffino. He was retired from R&R Enterprises

and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was member of the VFW and Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, Alan Destaffino and wife, Autumn, of Gaffney; a daughter, Shelly Hunter of Gaffney; a brother, Don Destaffino and wife, Beth, of Port Orange, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Olivia Hunter, Sierra Hunter and Jordan Destaffino.

The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 1, from 1-2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wofford Caughman and Chaplin Frank Ledvinka officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
