Gaffney Little Theatre hosts 'Just Desserts' Friday evening
Event at Brown Building features luscious cakes, pies and surprises
The Gaffney Little Theatre will host visitors to Friday evening's Christmas on Limestone from 6:30-8:30 in the Brown Building. The event is a sumptuous presentation of "Just Desserts," an array of homebaked cakes, pies, candies, cupcakes, cheesecakes and special surprises served by the slice or whole for Christmas entertaining. Items that will be sold whole will be marked "suitable for freezing." Many of Gaffney's finest bakers will donate their services for the event. Beverages include coffee, hot mulled cider, hot chocolate, bottle water and soft drinks. Anyone wishing to donate to the fundraiser may call Tedi Gibbons or Karen Lavender to offer their services. Contributions should be delivered to the Brown Building on Frederick Street from 10 a.m. until noon Friday. Tedi Gibbons will also pick up donated items after noon Thursday. Little Theatre board members will serve as waitpersons, entertainers, clerks, decorators and cooks. All items are homebaked and have not been frozen. Plenty of seating is available. Those attending "Just Desserts" may also visit the Send a Kid to Broadway flea market to do holiday shopping in the adjoining building. A number of new items, including Christmas decorations and men's clothing, have been added since the November sale. Friendship, warmth, good cheer, conversation and Christmas music are free and plentiful doing the two-hour celebration. |
