James T. Guyton

SPAR- TANBURG - James Thomas Guyton, 64, of 134 Norris Court, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at his home.

Husband of Brigitte Rainey Guy-ton, he was born in Cherokee County, a son of Rosa Lee Smith Guyton of Gaffney and the late J.T.

Guyton. He was a

1963 graduate of

Granard High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Also surviving are a son, Lamar Guyton of Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Cassandra Guyton of Spartanburg, Yvette Guyton of Virginia and Marcellina Joan West of the home; three brothers, Johnny Guyton of Gaffney, L.C. Guyton of Forest Heights, Md., and Robert Guyton of Springhill, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. in Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating.
