Marjorie P. Wilkins

Retired from Spartan Mills John H. Montgomery Plant

SPARTANBURG - Marjorie L. Phillips Wilkins, 78, of 2592 Cowpens-Pacolet Road, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 29, 1930, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late John Wilfred and Myrtle Upton Phillips. She was retired from Spartan Mills-John H. Montgomery Plant and was a member of Hammett Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, David (Pete) Wilkins; a son, Lewis Wilkins of Pauline; two sisters, Carolyn Easler of Spartanburg and Joyce Holland of Moore; and a brother, Jack Phillips of Boiling Springs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkins was predeceased by three brothers, Howard, Kenneth and Weldon Phillips.

Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Hammett Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike McGaha and the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 7-9 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

The family is at the home.
