      MT. HOLLY, N.C. - Lunnie Inez Hopper, 80, of 125 Ben Harkey Lane, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at her home. Born in Cherokee County, Mrs. Hopper was the widow of J.R. Hopper and daughter of the late Robert E. Lee Patterson and the late Cleo Madora Scates Patterson. Mrs. Hopper was a member of Springwood Church of God and a homemaker.

      Wayland Cantrell, 79, of 1312 Cliffside Hwy, Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Born May 26, 1929, in Spartanburg, he was the widower of Joyce Baker Cantrell and son of the late Francis Marion and Myrtle Bishop Cantrell. He was a member of Stateline Baptist Church.

      Services for Leroy Littlejohn Sr., 67, of Oakmont of Union, formerly of Gaffney, will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Smith and Drs. C. A. Wallace, Michael A. Bridges, J. W. Sanders Sr. and Minister Vincent Wilkins officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
