Junior Bell KINGS MOUNTAIN— Edward Marshall (Junior) Bell, Jr., 82, of 121 Niagara Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at White Oak Manor. Born in Cherokee County, he was the husband of Betty Ross Bell and the son of the late Edward Marshall Bell, Sr. and Mary Johnson Hambright Bell. He was retired from Williams Oil Company, a U. S. Army veteran, a Mason, and a member of Christian Freedom Southern Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Douglas Steven Bell and wife, Beth of Kings Mountain, NC; Edward Lee Bell and wife, Myrtle of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, April Suppiger and husband, Ted, Chandra Bell, Cheí Bell, Cassie Bell, Derek Bell, Jamie Bell, Timothy Ellis, Chris Wink and Thomas Wink and wife, Nikki; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Luna White of Gaffney and Edna Devine of Blacksburg; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Harley Hambright, Fred Hambright, Marvin Bell, Charles Bell and W. D. Bell and two sisters, Alma Guest and Myrtle Taylor. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Chambers officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Freedom Southern Baptist Church, 260 Range Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. The family will be at the residence.
