Michael (Mike) Hugh Dickson, 60, of 183 Stage Coach Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Faye Parker Dickson and the son of the late James N. Dickson and Era M. Scruggs Dickson.

He was employed by Hoechst Celanese-KoSa, a graduate of Gaffney High School, a member of the National Guard and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tracey D. Millwood and husband, Scott of Gaffney; a granddaughter, Mekenzie Millwood; and a brother, Roger Dickson of Gaffney.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Peeler officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
