SHELBY— Shirley Reynolds Ruppe, 59, of 333 Crow Road, Shelby, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Broadus Reynolds and Agnes Shuford Reynolds.

Mrs. Ruppe worked in the textiles industry and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Ruppe and wife, Halie of Blacksburg; one daughter, Kathy Parker and husband, Allen of Gaffney; one grandchild, Kaitlyn Parker; four brothers, C. B. Reynolds and wife, Patsy, Jack Reynolds and wife, Zonia, Ralph Reynolds and wife, Faye and Joe Reynolds and wife, Trudy, all of Gaffney, SC; one sister, Anne Reynolds of Shelby, NC.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon on Friday, Dec. 5, at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will immediately follow in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.

Interment will be in Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby.

The family will be at their respective homes.
