Says landfill will be economic boost
      Dear Editor: An article written about the proposed 3Cycle project asked Waste Management the questions "How high? How deep? What if…?." These are good questions; but they aren't just relevant to this project; they are also relevant to our economy. How high is our unemployment rate going to go? How deep is the current recession?

Claims no landfill equals tax increase
      Dear Editor: During a time where joblessness is at an alltime high, budgets are being slashed and services are being cut, Cherokee County is being presented with an opportunity for growth. The proposed 3Cycle environmental center is an opportunity to grow jobs, attract new business and provide much-needed revenue to the county's budget.

      Dear Editor: There has been a serious misunderstanding about the proposed recycling program by Waste Management. They are proposing to do what Cherokee County is already doing.

Light show signs being pulled up
      Dear Editor: My family and I have set about this Christmas season to make a few others' outlook on life a little brighter and more joyful. We have a large Christmas light show set up at my father's house at 160 Shady Lane in Gaffney. This display consists of more than 35,000 lights dancing in sync to music all controlled by a computer.
