Your concern and support touched us greatly

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the family of Major James Ellie "Cecil" Brogden, I would like to thank the community for the generous outpouring of concern and support during this difficult time. The food, calls, cards, flowers and memorial tributes have touched us deeply and moved us greatly.

The loss of my father was senseless and unexpected, yet we have an eternal hope...an assurance that comes only from knowing Christ and following Him unconditionally.

Dad's legacy of service will live on with every kind act and thoughtful gesture we extend toward others. As he would often extol, "It is a kind thing to give selflessly of one's time, resources and finances in order to make the world a better place, so be true to the mission of the gospel of Christ and model God's love through action."
