Stephen Bruce Huskey

Stephen Bruce Huskey, 51, of Seale, Ala., died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Stephen was born May 22, 1957, to Tommy and Reba Huskey at Fort McClellan, Ala., and at an early age, moved to San Angelo, Texas, working in the oil fields. He later returned to Phenix City, working for Vance Distribution Company at Fort Benning Commissary. He was employed at the time of his illness with Joe Ryan Trucking as a truck driver. Stephen is survived by his wife, Laura Worley Huskey, a son, Stephen Bruce Huskey II, and daughters, Brandy Huskey, all of Phenix City, and Stephanie Huskey of San Angelo, Texas; mother, Reba Vance and her husband, Robert, of Phenix City; father, Tommy Huskey of South Bend, Ind.; brothers, Keith Huskey of Phenix City, Kevin Huskey of San Angelo, Texas, and Jamie Vance of Phenix City; two grandsons and one granddaughter. Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Ruby Huskey, who lived in Gaffney and Guy C. and Loduska Parris who lived in Clinton. The family plans to have a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements by Vance Memorial Chapel. |
