Everybody loves a CHRISTMAS PARADE

(Ledger photos by Scott Powell.) (Ledger photos by Scott Powell.) Gaffney and Blacksburg held their annual Christmas parades Saturday. Hundreds of residents braved the cold weather to enjoy Christmas music by county school bands, floats, fire trucks, Gaffney High JROTC cadets wearing reindeer hats, and even an appearance by Santa Claus and his reindeer.

In these photos, Dr. Seuss waves to the crowd on this photo from Characters 4 Us. A Blacksburg man takes a bath to the tune of Bobby Darin's classic "Splish Splash."

Sasha, a York terrier, was dressed in her own Christmas outfit that contained the phrase "Waiting for Santa" on the back of the shirt. Sasha attended the parade with county residents Bobby Bullocks and Faye Brown.
