Robert Alvin Hancock, 61, of 510 Thompson St., passed away Sunday, Dec.14, 2008.

Mr. Hancock was

of the Baptist faith

and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Surviving are a son, Robert Anthony Hancock and wife, Toya, of Mayo; a daughter, Amy Hancock Jones and husband, Todd, of Inman; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at Providence Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Doug Windsor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert Hancock Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 190, Chesnee, S.C. 29323.
